Gavin van Aswegen from CGGU wins Gauteng North Senior Open

The 2012 SAGA Senior Tournaments kicked off with the Gauteng North Senior Open played at Waterkloof Country Club in Pretoria. Royal Johannesburg and Kensington golfer

Gavin van Aswegen was victorious with rounds of 74 and 72, to win by three shots from Phillip Viljoen. Central Gauteng had a strong showing in the tournament with a total of 4 players in the top 3 and a further 5 players finishing in the top 20.

Central Gauteng's Gavin van Aswegen won his 2nd title of the 2011/2012 season, his first being at the Vaal Open back in May 2011.

The next tournament will be the Free State Senior Open at Vaal de Grace. The closing date is this Friday the 20th of January, entry form on www.saga.co.za
